Job Description - Manager - Governance and Strategic Initiatives , Global Procurement and Payments

Location: Hybrid

Global Procurement and Payablesis a global team, tasked withproviding strategic advice to business partners internally, providing them with the most efficient and effective procurement tools for all their purchasing, sourcing, contracting and supplier management requirements as well as ensuring they meet payment standards andcritical governancepractices. We are committed to technologicalsolutionsthat enhance our effectiveness and business partner and supplier service levels.

What will you do

This is a dynamic and multi-faceted role,ideal for those comfortable in a fast-paced environment and working with a variety of stakeholder groups across different time zones. Specific activities will include:

  • Supportingthe creation, implementation and change management activities related to ournew global policies
  • Program and compliancemonitoring,trackingandreporting, including following up on remediation activities
  • Assisting with the information gathering and completion of ongoing Corporate Governance requests
  • Supporting the implementation of automation tools, including AI. This includesindustry research, identifying use cases,andwritingbusiness cases.
  • Supporting change management activities,includingdocumenting andfollowing up onidentifiedprocess improvement opportunities
  • Provideoverall supportof strategic initiatives

What do you need to succeed

  • Adept at learning new technology and technical concepts
  • Strongverbal and writtencommunicationskills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solvingand decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with source to pay processes and systems such as SAP Aribaan asset
  • Project management and change management experience an asset
  • Comfortable engaging stakeholders globally atlevelsup to AVP
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative and ability to work independently
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability and willingness to workflexiblehourstoparticipate in key discussions with regionsglobally
